Elske, makelaar in de Provence
Friezin van origine, heb ik een brood- en banketbakkersopleiding in Wageningen gevolgd, wat toen voor een meisje bijzonder was. Daarna heb ik een lange carrière in de koekjeswereld gehad. Het bedrijf LU haalde mij in 1996 naar Parijs, van waaruit ik voor mijn werk de hele wereld afgereisd heb. Na een tijd in Quimper (Bretagne) gewoond te hebben, kwam ik door een headhunter in de Vaucluse terecht waar ik Europees Key Account manager was en na een aantal jaar de voedingsbranche verliet om makelaar te worden.
Ik hou van mijn kleine dorpje in de Luberon, waar ik inmiddels meer dan 20 jaar woon en werk, met zijn leuke mix van lokale en internationale, artistieke en authentieke bewoners.
Van vogels naar kunst
Naast het makelaarswerk, organiseer ik in het voorjaar vogelwandelingen in de prachtige ‘Colorado de Rustrel’ en het hele jaar door exposeer ik mijn fotografie in ‘Atelier 1699’. Dat is een galerie waarvan ik de trotse eigenaar ben, nadat wij een paar jaar geleden onze 2e en 3e gekochte bouwvallen eigenhandig omgetoverd hebben in juweeltjes.
De aankopen en de verbouwingen waren geweldige en soms hilarische ervaringen die mij in mijn werk als makelaar nu goed van pas komen.
Loop gerust een keer binnen, of liever, spreek vooraf even met mij af, om een praatje te maken over vogels, fotografie of het realiseren van uw droom in dit prachtige deel van Frankrijk!

I am not one who does a lot of letter writing but thought it only right to drop a line regarding our property sale. We have loved and lived in France for 25 years and have seen over that time many changes, we had always asked the authorities for advice in the relevant departments and had done everything to the letter, but with the present bureaucracy, poor exchange rate and of course Brexit we found at our age (in our 70's) these were problems we could now do without ! We made for us what was a huge decision to sell and move back to the UK, so we then searched for your local agent in the Vaucluse that was only a short distance from us in the Alpes de Haute Provence, and we were welcomed with open arms in a friendly and personal standing. We are of course talking about Elske Koelstra your multi-lingual Dutch agent, from then on her calm and professional attitude sold our house in five weeks, a surprise for us as we thought at least a year in these difficult Covid times. It would be fair and accurate to say that Elske's knowledge and expertise shone through, and her demeanour gave confidence and reassurance at every stage with a constant stream of e-mail and personal visit communication keeping us informed of the situation (a far cry from the service of estate agents here now in the UK.) Our sale was completed on the 18' February 2021 and you have been good enough to refund the DPE and SPANC charges as part of the 'exclusive' publicity, and for that we add our thanks.
Elske was also good enough to complete our necessary documentation required for our 'time limited' return to the UK, and has also contacted us on a personal note since our *complicated' return that we find very comforting and supportive in this day and age.
We are truly delighted that we chose "Leggett" for the sale of our property.
